Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

91V083000 · Steering: Steering Wheel/Handle Bar

Reported: 1991-06-10 (June 10, 1991)

NUT ATTACHING STEERING WHEEL MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TIGHTENED DURING INSTALLATION.

Consequence: THIS COULD ALLOW STEERING WHEEL TO SEPARATE FROM STEERINGCOLUMN; LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND A CRASH COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

Remedy: TIGHTEN THE NUT TO THE PROPER TORQUE AS NECESSARY.
