TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 (NA) CHEROKEE TRAVEL TRAILER EQUIPPED WITH CASTLE ROCK TIRES (NA), SIZE: 225/75R/15 (NA). THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A TIRE BLOWOUT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE DAMAGED TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A SPARE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE BLOWOUT WAS CONFIRMED. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GROSS WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE CAUSED THE TIRE TO BLOW OUT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 700.…

These vehicles contain incorrect tire inflation pressures on the Vehicle Certification Label. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 567, "Certification."
Consequence: The incorrect tire pressure information given on the Federal Certification Tag and Tire Information Tag may lead to the tire being overinflated, resulting in sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners and will provide a corrected replacement label, free of charge. The recall began on November 25, 2013. Owners may contact Forest River at 1-574-534-3167.
