Owner report 10294502 · 2009-12-04 (December 4, 2009)
I HAVE A COMPLAINT OF THE ON RAMP TO 6-35 SOUTH FROM I-70 EAST IN KANSAS CITY, KS. THERE IS A YIELD SIGN BUT NOBODY EVER YIELDS. IF YOU YIELD THAN A CAR FROM BEHIND SEEMS TO WANT TO REAR END YOU. 6-35 SOUTHBOUND DOESN'T SEEM TO GET LEFT, AND THE ON RAMP IS TOO SHORT. I THINK ABOUT IT DAILY AND IT'S PRETTY FEARFUL. I WISH THERE COULD BE A CAMERA OUT THERE TO SEE THE DANGER OF LACK OF ON RAMP. PLEASE INVESTIGATE, THANKS.. *TR

99V006000 · Suspension:Rear
Reported: 1999-01-21 (January 21, 1999)
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAILERS MANUFACTURED BY VARIOUS BUILDERS FOR STRAIGHTLINE MANUFACTURING. THE AXLES AND AXLE COMPONENTS CAN BEND AND EVEN BREAK ON SOME UNITS ALLOWING THE AXLE TO STRIKE THE FRAME CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE AXLE AND AXLE ASSEMBLIES.
Consequence: FAILURE OF THE AXLES COULD CAUSE THE WHEEL AND AXLE SPINDLE TO SEPARATE FROM THE TRAILER, CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL.
Remedy: STRAIGHTLINE WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING AXLES WITH NEW, REINFORCED AXLES.
