THIS IS A 7 FOOT BY 16 FOOT DOUBLE AXLE CARGO TRAILER. WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE I KEPT HEARING A METAL NOISE. I LOOKED IN MY TRUCK MIRROR AND COULD NOT SEE ANY PROBLEMS. THE NOISE KEPT GETTING LOUDER SO I PULLED OFF SIDE OF INTERSTATE 64. I LOOKED INSIDE TRAILER AND NOTICED ROOF HAD STARTED CAME LOOSE FROM FRONT OF TRAILER AND STARTED PEELING BACK. THE ROOF WAS ONLY RIVETED/BOLTED ALONG FRONT OF TRAILER AND GLUED DOWN SIDES. ONCE ROOF SEPARATED FROM TRAILER IN FRONT, IT STARTED TO OPEN LIKE A CAN OF SARDINES AS THERE ARE NO BOLT…

The contact owns a 2014 Carry-On 7X16 Double Axle trailer. The contact stated while towing the trailer, the contact noticed that the trailer lights had failed. Upon investigation, the contact noticed that the connectors underneath the trailer were not properly waterproofed and was installed upside down resulting in the connectors filling up with water and not draining as intended. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
