Vehicle: 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL (battery-electric SUV). At approximately 4,500 miles the vehicle began displaying battery/high-voltage system warnings and charging system errors. An earlier incident involved a critical battery warning instructing service. When presented to the dealership, the vehicle was initially described as potentially requiring extensive diagnostic disassembly. The dealership later reversed that position and stated the issue could be addressed by repeatedly "cycling the ignition" approximately 30–40 times. No permanen…

The Cadillac Escalade IQL has a blind spot on the passenger side of the vehicle that is the worse I’ve ever experienced. The side mirror is set to view the vehicle on the side but even at the optimal safety settings I can’t see a car to my right unless I can see them out my passenger window or the turn signal camera is on.

# NHTSA Complaint – 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL My 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL has experienced repeated "Service High Voltage System" warnings despite multiple warranty repair attempts involving the A/C/high-voltage thermal-management system. The vehicle is currently at an authorized Cadillac dealership and is available for inspection if requested. The problem first occurred in May 2026 at approximately 9,378 miles. General Motors has decided that certain 2027 Chevrolet Bolt EV, 2025-2026 Cadillac OPTIQ, Chevrolet Colorado, Equinox EV, GMC Canyon, 2026 Buick Enclave, Envision, Cadillac CT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, LYRIQ, VISTIQ, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Equinox, Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500, Silverado EV, Suburban 1500, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Acadia, Hummer EV Pickup, Hummer EV SUV, Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500, Sierra EV, Terrain, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. The radio may not have been set to the correct status to download the electronic owner's manual during production. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, “Occupant Protection.”

Consequence: Without an owner's manual to consult, owners may not know how to safely use and operate the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will reset the vehicle radio, which will facilitate automatic download of the electronic owner’s manual, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 16, 2026. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-866-467-9700, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. The manufacturer's number for this recall is N252540430. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 26, 2026.

26V494000 · Electrical System:Propulsion System:Traction Battery

Reported: 2026-07-30 (July 30, 2026)

General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, GMC Sierra EV, and Chevrolet Silverado EV vehicles. The high voltage battery may have an improperly secured internal module component.

Consequence: A loose component may move and damage the high voltage battery, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the high voltage battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 24, 2026. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N262562600. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 30, 2026.
