THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. FREEDOM POWERSPORTS HUNTSVILLE (12401 MEMORIAL PKWY SW, HUNTSVILLE, AL 35803, [phone removed]) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. Operating vehicle at 35 mph battery light flashing and motorcycle died. The battery was replaced a week before.I tried to restart and the instrument panel wouldn't show anything. I bike didn't restart. I checked battery cables everything tight.

18V408000 · Structure:Motorcycle:Kickstand/Center Stand | Structure:Frame And Members

Reported: 2018-06-15 (June 15, 2018)

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2017-2018 BMW G310R and 2018 BMW G310GS motorcycles. Over time, repeated use and loading of the side stand could cause damage to the side stand and the motorcycle's frame.

Consequence: Damage to the side stand and/or frame may result in the motorcycle unexpectedly falling over while it is stationary, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the frame, installing a reinforcement plate and new side stand, or the frame will be replaced if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 21, 2018. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

19V593000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Foundation Components:Disc:Caliper

Reported: 2019-08-14 (August 14, 2019)

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2019 C 400 X, 2018-2020 G 310 GS, and 2017-2020 G 310 R scooters and motorcycles. The front and rear brake caliper pistons may corrode, possibly causing the piston to stick or drag in the caliper bore.

Consequence: A sticking or dragging brake could affect braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front and rear brake calipers, free of charge. The recall began March 13, 2020. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
