Owner report 10409875 · 2011-06-27 (June 27, 2011)
I PURCHASED MY BIKE A 2011 BMW G650 GS WITH 7 MILES ON IT. IT IS AN ENDURO MOTORCYCLE AND I WAS RIDING IT ON A STRAIGHT AWAY GOING APPROX 20-30 MPH. NEXT THING I KNEW I WAS DOWN. THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO SAY THAN THAT SINCE IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST. WHEN I FINALLY GOT A GOOD LOOK AT MY BIKE - THE RIGHT HAND FORK FAILED OR BROKE NEAR THE BOTTOM. I BELIEVE THAT THIS FORK FAILURE IS WHAT CAUSED MY ACCIDENT. AFTER READING AND SEARCHING MORE INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET I SEE THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME IT HAS BEEN REPORTED. PLEASE REFER TO # PE09026 …
