Owner report 10808673 · 2015-12-06 (December 6, 2015)

ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO THE CAR STARTED SPUTTERING WHEN YOU ACCELERATE. I FOUND ONLINE THAT YOU CAN TAKE YOUR BMW 750LI XDRIVE IN FOR A CUSTOMER CARE PACKAGE ( THEY DID NOT CALL IT A RECALL BUT A CUSTOMER CARE PACKAGE.) I THOUGHT THIS WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY REPLACE SOME SENSORS AND VACUUM HOSE BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. BMW DID A FULL DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID (REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL INJECTORS (X8), IGNITION COILS (X8),AND SPARK PLUGS (X8) (DURING THE INSPECTION FOUND THE VEHICLE MISFIRING) FINAL COST WILL RUN $6777.00 MY WARR…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 (NA) BMW 750LIX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNINTENDEDLY. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.

Owner report 11045572 · 2017-11-13 (November 13, 2017)

THE 2011 BMW 750LI XDRIVE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND THE POWER TRAIN MALFUNCTION INDICATOR CAME ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR WHEN DRIVING AROUND 80MPH, I HAD TO SLOW DOWN TO 60MPH ON THE INTERSTATE WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 70MPH. IF I WENT FASTER THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD FLASH UNTIL I SLOWED DOWN. THE CAR DRINKS OIL LIKE CRAZY AND THE FULL SYNTHETIC OIL IS NOT CHEAP. W#HEN I PULLED OVER I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AFTER 10 MINUTES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. THE CAR WAS SHUDDERING WHEN I PULLED BACK ONTO…

Owner report 11426932 · 2021-07-29 (July 29, 2021)

My car has approximately 118,000 miles on it and is in excellent condition. It was dealer serviced within a week of this event. The dealer did not identify any driveline problems or conditions with the vehicle. While my wife was driving on the freeway, the rear u-joint on the front drive shaft failed, causing the drive shaft to flail from the front differential and beat a hole in the transmission. There was virtually no warning that this failure was imminent except for a slight vibration for approximately 15 minutes prior to the failure. …
