TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BIGDOG BULLDOG MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH DURING RAINY WEATHER, THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL BECAME EXTREMELY FOGGY AND REMAINED FOGGY FOR THREE DAYS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE YET THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. UPDATED 07/21/11 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS UNABLE TO READ THE SPEEDOMETER AT ANY SPEED AS IT FOGGED UP. THE ODOMETER WAS REPLACED AT A COST OF$55. UPDATED 11/18/11

I HAVE A AVON MOTORCYCLE TIRE, AV72 300/35VR18 COBRA SERIES MOUNTED ON A 2007 BIG DOG MOTORCYCLE, MODEL BULLDOG. IT HAS A DOT CODE OF 0609. TIRE HAS SPLIT OR SEPARATED ON EACH SIDE AT ABOUT 2500 MILES AND IS COMING APART. AVON SAID IT IS A OPEN JOINT SPLICE FAILURE. NUMEROUS TIRES HAVE THE SAME ISSUE ON THE BIG DOG FORUM ON THE BIG DOG MOTORCYCLES. TIRE HAS BUBBLED IN NUMEROUS AREAS FROM THE SEPARATION. ATTEMPTS TO GET THE TIRE TO AVON CONTACTING[XXX] HAVE GONE IN VAIN. I WAS TOLD BY HIM IT WAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT AND THEY WOULD REPLACE IT BUT…

FIRST NOTICED TIRE LAYER SEPARATION ON 7-12-2011. REQUIRED TO GO THROUGH INSTALLER - DISTRIBUTOR, THEN DISTRIBUTOR WILL DETERMINE WARRANTY COVERAGE.
