Reported: 2022-07-01 (July 1, 2022)

Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Legend, Xpeditor, and Xspotter trucks equipped with Sheppard Steering Gears. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly,which can cause the gear to fracture.

Consequence: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers with inspect and replace the steering gear, at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 29, 2022. Owners can contact Autocar's customer service at 765-489-5499. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2204 DC-2202.

23V442000 · Fuel System, Diesel:Storage:Tank Assembly

Reported: 2023-06-23 (June 23, 2023)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 ACTT Xspotter vehicles. The fuel tank mounting straps may not be properly secured.

Consequence: An improperly secured fuel tank can separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure, or replace the fuel tank mounting straps as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 21, 2023. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2302.

24V080000 · Steering

Reported: 2024-04-05 (April 5, 2024)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023 ACX (Xpeditor) and ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Consequence: A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 4, 2024. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's numbers for this recall are ACX-2401 and ACTT-2401.

24V819000 · Electrical System:Software | Vehicle Speed Control

Reported: 2024-12-09 (December 9, 2024)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. A software error may allow the vehicle to exceed the speed governor limit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles."

Consequence: Driving at speeds greater than 33 mph can result in a loss of handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle and drive motor software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2402.

25V258000 · Electrical System:Alternator/Generator/Regulator | Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2025-04-17 (April 17, 2025)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The alternator ground cable may be misrouted and contact the alternator positive stud, damaging the cable.

Consequence: A damaged cable can short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, or replace the cable as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 13, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2502.

25V449000 · Service Brakes, Air:Supply:Reservoir/Tank

Reported: 2025-07-03 (July 3, 2025)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Consequence: Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available, anticipated September 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. 25V451000 · Equipment:Other:Labels

Reported: 2025-07-03 (July 3, 2025)

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2012-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The tire inflation information label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Consequence: Incorrect tire inflation information can result in under inflated tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2504.
