I OWN/DRIVE A 2002 A4 AUDI QUATRO WITH PIRELLI TIRES P6 215/55R16 93H. WITHIN THE PAST 15 MONTHS, I HAVE HAD THREE TIRES DEVELOP SIDEWALL BUBBLES THAT HAVE RUPTURED AND SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSED THE TIRE TO GO FLAT. THE TIRES ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED, AS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO BE REPAIRED. I HAVE CONTACTED AUDI AND PIRELLI, BUT THEY ASSURE ME IT IS NOT THE TIRE, BUT THE POOR CONDITION OF THE ROADWAYS (POTHOLES, ETC.) VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT 50 MPH WHEN ALL OF ALL SUDDEN IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN THE DRIVER PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED FOR A SIMILAR EVENT MONTHS EARLIER BY CONSUMER AND TESTED, BUT THE CAUSE WAS UNDETERMINED. *AK AT 2700 RPM THE ENGINE DIED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 AUDI A4 QUATTRO. THE IGNITION COILS WERE ORIGINALLY REPLACED UNDER RECALL IN 2003 AT 9,000 MILES. AT 60,300 MILES THE IGNITION COILS FAILED AGAIN WHILE VEHICLE WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE NOT A FACTOR. THE ENGINE WAS LOUDER THAN NORMAL, AND VEHICLE DID NOT DRIVE NORMALLY, ALSO, THERE WAS LOSS OF POWER.THE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT APPEARED AFTER THE FAILURE.
