The contact owns a 2025 Audi Q8. The contact stated that while driving at 25-30 MPH, she crashed into the rear of a pick-up truck towing a boat on a trailer. The contact did not notice that the vehicle in front was coming from a stop, which caused the accident. During the crash, the engine of the boat detached, causing damage. I am writing to formally document an urgent and ongoing safety issue with my new Audi Q8 (VIN [XXX] rrently has fewer than 1,100miles. On my recent visit to my local Audi authorized dealer's service department (Tuesday, 4/21/2026), I brought the vehicle in for a “central lock malfunction” warning and was advised that the issue had been resolved. On July 4, 2026 in the early evening, I was driving in the HOV lane of the freeway when the engine abruptly lost power. There was a warning light that came onto the dashboard but I did not see what it said as I was solely concerned about moving safely off to the shoulder in moderate traffic. Once I pulled to the shoulder, I restarted the vehicle and was able to drive home safely. 25V777000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage
Reported: 2025-11-12 (November 12, 2025)
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2025 Audi RS Q8, Audi Q8, Audi Q7, and Audi SQ8 vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat belt buckles may be missing a rivet that secures the buckle to the seat belt stalk.
Consequence: A seat belt that is missing a rivet may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace both front seat belt buckles, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2025. Owners may contact Audi at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 692K. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on November 14, 2025.

Reported: 2025-12-19 (December 19, 2025)
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2019-2026 vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 14, 2026. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 90TV. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on December 23, 2025.
