I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 55 MILES PER HOUR IN THE CENTER LANE ON THE INTERSTATE. SHORTLY AFTER SHIFTING THE CAR INTO SPORT MODE, THE VEHICIE HAD SEQUENTIAL MALFUNCTION NOTIFICATIONS APPEAR ON MY SCREEN. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 AUDI Q7. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO PARK. THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE PARKING BRAKE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE TO REMOVE A CHILD FROM THE REAR SEAT. HE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DOORS LOCKED INDEPENDENTLY. MY AUDIO Q7 HAD THROTTLE DELAY ISSUES SOON AFTER PURCHASE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALER TOLD ME ALL TESTS WERE NORMAL AND RETURNED THE CAR. PROBLEMS CONTINUED, ESPECIALLY AT LOW SPEEDS. THERE IS TYPICALLY A DELAY OF ABOUT 3 SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR RESPONDS AND WHEN IT DOES I HAVE THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR LUNGES FORWARD. ONE DELAY WAS ABOUT 6 SECONDS. MY 2019 AUDI Q7 HAS THROTTLE DELAY PROBLEMS THAT HAVE RESULTED IN NEAR ACCIDENTS MORE THAN ONCE DUE TO NO RESPONSE OF ACCELERATOR UNTIL 3 OR 4 SECONDS AFTER DEPRESSING GAS PEDDLE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC. MOONROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING 55 TO 60 MPH ON A STRAIGHT HIGHWAY. THERE WERE NO CARS, TRUCKS ON THE ROAD AHEAD OF ME. THE STRETCH OF HIGHWAY WAS ELEVATED WITH NOTHING BUT MARSHLAND ON BOTH SIDES. NO CIVILIZATION, STORES, HUMANS ETC. THERE WAS A LOUD POP SOUND LIKE A PLASTIC BOTTLE HAD POPPED, THEN MY EARS POPPED AND ABOUT ONE OR TWO MINUTES LATER AN EXPLOSION AND SHOWER OF GLASS ON MYSELF AND MY PASSENGER.

FROM TIME TO TIME, AFTER THE AUTO ENGINE SHUTOFF ENGAGES, WHEN I RELEASE THE BRAKE AND THE ENGINE RESTARTS, POWER STEERING ISN'T AVAILABLE FOR ROUGHLY 5 SECONDS (THE CAR IS UN-STEERABLE). THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS AT A COMPLETE STOP, AND I'M ATTEMPTING TO START MOVING AGAIN. I'VE LEARNED TO PUT THE CAR INTO "SPORT MODE" SO I DON'T RISK MY LIFE AND MY FAMILIES LIVES. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. :(

SINCE DAY 1 OF OWNERSHIP 9/29/19 THE 2019 AUDI Q7 HAS HAD AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRONIC STEERING ISSUE WHERE STEERING AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES HEAVIER. THIS RESULTS IN MORE EFFORT TO EFFECTIVELY STEER THE VEHICLE. AUDI OF BEAVERTON OR WHERE THE 2019 Q7 WAS PURCHASED NEW HAS ATTEMPTED TO FIX TWICE. THE SECOND ATTEMPT RESULTED IN FULL REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK. ISSUE RANDOMLY PRESENTS ITSELF WHILE DRIVING. CURRENT MILEAGE ON VEHICLE IS 3,885 MILES. *TR

19V114000 · Suspension:Front:Shock Absorber
Reported: 2019-02-20 (February 20, 2019)
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2019 Q7, Q8, S5 Cabriolet, and S5 Sportback vehicles. The front shock absorber forks may develop cracks allowing the shock absorbers to loosen.
Consequence: Loose shock absorbers may impair vehicle steering, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy: Audi has notified owners, and dealers will replace the shock absorber forks, free of charge. The recall began March 18, 2019. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 40O4.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019 Audi Q7 vehicles. In the event of a crash, the side curtain air bags may not properly inflate.
Consequence: An air bag that does not properly inflate in the event of a crash can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2020. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69AJ.

Reported: 2020-03-16 (March 16, 2020)
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019 Audi Q8 and 2017-2019 Audi Q7 vehicles. The bolt connecting the steering shaft to the steering gear may loosen, possibly resulting in a loss of steering control.
Consequence: A sudden loss of loss of steering control may increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and Audi dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering shaft bolt, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 31, 2020. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 36A1.

Reported: 2020-10-27 (October 27, 2020)
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Audi Q7 vehicles. The padding on the vehicle's C-pillar may not absorb enough impact in the event of a crash.
Consequence: In the event of a crash, an unbelted occupant's head may impact the vehicle's C-pillar padding, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the deformation element on the C-pillars, free of charge. The recall began November 17, 2020. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 70H8.
