TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 APRILIA RSV 1000 R (N/A). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED ON A HILL, THE REAR BRAKE WAS APPLIED BUT IT FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THERE WAS A VOLUNTARY RECALL FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE PERFORMED. AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. THE FUEL TANK ON THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS DEVELOPED A LEAK FROM FUEL PUMP MOUNTING FLANGE ON BOTTOM OF TANK. I PURCHASED THIS MOTORCYCLE USED FROM A FRIEND WHO RARELY USED IT, AND I SUSPECT IT HAS BEEN LEAKING FOR QUITE SOME TIME. THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS ONLY 3,600 MILES ON IT AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR HAD ANY MODIFICATIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE IT TO LEAK. MOTORCYCLE IS STORED INDOORS AND CONSIDERED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE MOUNTING FLANGE SURFACE ON TANK IS VERY THIN AND HAS WARPED BETWEEN PUMP MOUNT BOLTS CAUSING THE LEAK AS WELL AS SOME COR…
