Reported: 2023-05-18 (May 18, 2023)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Aerial Devices, Digger Derricks, Service Bodies and Cranes. Water can leak into the strobe lights, which could cause an electrical short-circuit.

Consequence: An electrical short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will provide instructions to inspect the light assembly for moisture and install a new fuse. If moisture is found or the light is inoperative, a light replacement kit will be installed. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Reported: 2023-06-01 (June 1, 2023)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020-2023 D4000B, D2000B, and AC18 trucks. The collision mitigation system software may not be calibrated correctly, prohibiting the active braking system from activating.

Consequence: An active braking system that fails to activate as intended increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Owners will be notified to take their vehicles to their respective OEM service center for a software update and road-test, free of charge. Reported: 2023-07-27 (July 27, 2023)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Aerial Devices (AT, TA, L44, L45, LR8, AA, AM, AN) and D series Digger Derricks (DH, DL, DM, DT). The power inverter that converts electrical DC power to AC power may have been installed without a circuit breaker to protect the AC output circuit.

Consequence: Without a circuit breaker, the AC circuit may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will install a 20-amp circuit breaker in the AC circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 21, 2023. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3103.

Reported: 2023-12-07 (December 7, 2023)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2023 CB5-132D-S vehicles equipped with a Bobcat 260 welder installed on a track system. The welder may be misaligned, preventing the mounting fasteners from being properly tightened.

Consequence: Loose fasteners can allow the welder to detach from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will align the welder and tighten the fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 01, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3133.

Reported: 2024-01-11 (January 11, 2024)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2004-2023 AT Series aerial devices. The cables in the engine compartment may contact the vehicle's hood, damaging the cables and causing a short circuit.

Consequence: A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will inspect and relocate the cables and fuse blocks, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 8, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3142.

Reported: 2024-05-23 (May 23, 2024)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Altec LR7 and LR8 aerial devices. The hydraulic cylinder feeder tube routed near the cylinder rest bracket may become damaged and leak oil, which can result in uncontrolled boom movement.

Consequence: Uncontrolled movement of the boom can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will replace the cylinder rest pad and the feeder tube if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 22, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3142.

Reported: 2024-06-13 (June 13, 2024)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2024 aerial devices, digger diggers, pressure diggers, service trucks, reel lifters, pressure washers, and articulating crane models built on a Freightliner M2 Plus chassis. Please refer to Altec's recall report for specific vehicle make and model details. The lighting wire harness may be overloaded, preventing the vehicle lighting from illuminating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will rework the lighting wire harness and update the trailer module as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3161; CSN-3170.

Reported: 2024-09-12 (September 12, 2024)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Altec Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and Pressure Digger vehicles. The chassis ignition circuit may be overloaded, which can result in a blown fuse and cause an engine shutdown.

Consequence: An engine shutdown increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will rewire the accessory circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 8, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3185.

Reported: 2025-05-02 (May 2, 2025)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2024 TA Series, AT Series, L Series, LR Series Aerial Devices, and AF Series Forestry bodies. The fuel lines may not be properly secured, which can cause the lines to chafe and result in a fuel leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the fuel lines. If the lines are improperly secured, Altec will provide a kit to secure the lines. If the lines are damaged, the chassis manufacturer will repair the fuel lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2025. Reported: 2025-08-29 (August 29, 2025)

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2011-2025 Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and 2022-2025 Service Body vehicles. The cable step wire rope assembly may be improperly secured, which can allow the cable entry step to detach from the vehicle.

Consequence: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Reported: 2025-09-19 (September 19, 2025)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device, 2022-2024 Forestry Body, 2022-2025 Service Body, and 2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the vehicle certification label may be incorrect, leading to the vehicle being unintentionally overloaded.

Consequence: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will inspect and replace the labels as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN CSN-3251.

Reported: 2025-12-18 (December 18, 2025)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device and Digger Derrick vehicles. The electronic taillight module harness may have inadequate circuit protection.

Consequence: Wiring without adequate protection may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will provide instructions on inspecting and updating the circuit as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 13, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832.

Reported: 2026-03-13 (March 13, 2026)

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Service Body, Aerial Device, Pressure Digger, Spray Truck, and Digger Derrick vehicles. The low tire pressure rating printed on the final stage certification label is incorrect.

Consequence: An incorrect pressure rating may lead to underinflated tires, increasing the risk of a tire blowout or a crash.

Remedy: Altec will inspect and replace the incorrect certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3294.
