ALFA ROMEO IN DETROIT, MI HAS BEEN CONTACTED, AND THE REPLY AFTER A ONE-DAY WAIT THAT THE TEAM CONCLUDED THAT THE TIRE ON THE CAR IS GOOD EVEN TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT THE TOP SPEED OF AN ALFA ROMEO STELVIO TI SPORT AWD CAN RUN EASILY 140 MPH. When leaving to go to work, I pressed the button on the gear shift to put the car into reverse and then drive. I heard something click into the cupholders as I drove. It was the gear shift button. The plastic actuator button fell off completely. It would not fit back in. I think the plastic broke. I continued to drive to work, but when I got to work, I could not put the car into reverse. The contact stated that after coasting to the side of the roadway, the vehicle was restarted. Please be advised that Alfa Romeo vehicles are experiencing a very large number of gear shift selecting buttons that "POP OFF" during driving and while parked and can't be driven or moved!!! This is a know reported and COMMON ISSUE according to the ALFA ROMEO SERVICE MANAGER but not a reported recall issue!!! This is unsafe and very dangerous and should be considered a recall safety issue by the manufacture, owners and public immediately!!! The contact owns a 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light and several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed, and the vehicle was diagnosed with a blown head gasket which resulted in engine failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to cover half the cost for a new engine. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000. I was in an accident that was can be contributed to my lane keeping assistance. Once the car crashed into another vehicle my airbags failed to deploy.

Upon starting the vehicle a number of warning lights illuminated including the battery light. Upon viewing the battery compartment the plastic enclosure surrounding the battery had a few inches of water inside. I do have videos showing the water inside the compartment and also video of water being vacuumed out of the compartment. We did some research and found that this exact same issue sparked a recall in the same model vehicle in 2018. Very dangerous and i hope this is not happening to others, based on our research it is.

Reported: 2021-05-04 (May 4, 2021)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and 2020-2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia vehicles. Hard braking may cause the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) rotor shaft to separate, a reduction of braking assist, and a loss of ABS.

Consequence: The loss of braking assistance and ABS functionality can reduce overall braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the ABS HCU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 29, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403.

Reported: 2021-11-12 (November 12, 2021)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and Alfa Romeo Giulia vehicles. The fuel line sensor housing may crack and leak fuel.

Consequence: A fuel leak may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. A fuel leak also increases the risk of fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel line sensor housing, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 11, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is Y91.

Reported: 2023-05-30 (May 30, 2023)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes. During certain driving maneuvers, the brake system may exert an excessive clamp force that may fracture the rotor, decreasing the brake performance.

Consequence: An unexpected decrease in brake performance increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the brake system module (BSM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 20, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 68A.

Reported: 2024-07-03 (July 3, 2024)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.

Consequence: A front seat air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.

Reported: 2024-12-19 (December 19, 2024)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The fastener that connects the brake pedal and the brake booster may have been improperly assembled during manufacturing, which can cause the brake pedal to detach from the brake booster.

Consequence: Brake pedal detachment can cause a loss of brake function and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, the brake booster connection, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 18, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is E0B.

Reported: 2025-10-07 (October 7, 2025)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The printed circuit board and software for the rearview camera may contain defects that cause the rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the radio, as necessary. In addition, dealers will update the rearview camera software, as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge.
