NYLON-6 USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE FUEL TANK OF THE MOTORCYCLE CAUSES THE FUEL TANK TO SWELL AND DEFORM OVER TIME. THIS SWELLING HAS CAUSED THE FUEL TANK TO NO LONGER MOUNT CORRECTLY AND SECURELY TO THE FRAME OF THE MOTORCYCLE. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE TANK COULD MORE EASILY BE SEPARATED FROM THE MOTORCYCLE FRAME, LEADING TO A FIRE AND AN INCREASED RISK OF INJURIES OR DEATH OF THE RIDER, AS WELL AS POSING AN INCREASED RISK TO FIRST RESPONDERS AND BYSTANDERS.
