TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TUNDRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER MALFUNCTIONED, WHICH RESULTED IN LITTLE TO NO ASSISTANCE FROM THE TRAILER BRAKES EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRAILER BRAKE WAS ONLY OPERABLE ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS SET INTO MANUAL OVERRIDE MODE. I'M MAKING THIS REPORT DUE TO THE LAME INTEGRATED BRAKE CONTROLLER (IBC) IN MY 2016 TOYOTA TUNDRA. I'VE BEEN TOWING A CAMPER FOR THE PAST 13 YEARS AND I KNOW HOW TO SET UP A BRAKE CONTROLLER (BC) AND MORE IMPORTANTLY I KNOW WHEN THEY ARE WORKING OR NOT. WITH THE IBC, WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL I GET NO FELT BRAKING FROM THE CAMPER EVEN WHEN SET TO THE HIGHEST GAIN SETTING (10) WHICH CONSIDERING THE GENERAL LIGHT WEIGHT OF MY CAMPER (5,000 LBS. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A TRAVEL TRAILER AND, AFTER READING THE MANUAL, WAS SETTING UP THE INTEGRATED BRAKE CONTROLLER (HERETOFORE REFERRED TO AS THE IBS). I WAS FOLLOWING THE USER MANUAL SUPPLIED WITH MY TRUCK WHEN I PURCHASED IT NEW STEP-BY-STEP. I EVENTUALLY HAD THE GAIN SET TO "10" AND WAS STILL NOT GETTING PROPER BRAKING PRESSURE FROM THE TRAILER. I GOT OUT, CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS, RESTARTED THE TRUCK AND TRIED AGAIN; SAME ISSUE. I BOUGHT A 2016 TUNDRA IN MAY OF 2016. I OWN SOME RANCH PROPERTY IN WEST TEXAS. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK THERE TWICE AND BOTH TIMES I HAVE HAD WIRING DAMAGED BY RODENTS. SO FAR IT IS UP TO OVER 800 DOLLARS. TOYOTA WILL NOT WARRANTY IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TUNDRA EQUIPPED WITH KUMHO ROAD VENTURES TIRES, SIZE: 275/65R/20 (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERE SHAKING DUE TO THE STEERING COLUMN WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE TREAD SHIFTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT PROVIDED.

Gas tank no longer fills completely in a single squeeze. Each squeeze of the pump only fills up maybe a .25 gallon at a squeeze if I am lucky, but typically less. This results in a complete fill up taking close to a half hour. There are numerous posts on forums such as https://www.tundras.com/threads/gas-filling-problem.38449/, https://www.tundras.com/threads/gas-tank-roll-over-valve-stuck-causes-hard-fuelling-anyone-else.42535/, and many others regarding this issue, with no response from dealers other than sorry. The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the vehicle stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump and other fuel pump-related parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the parts were on back order. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

Under acceleration the truck hesitates during shifting. Took to dealership and they can’t find anything however it continues intermittently. During speeds on highway it does the same. No codes so the dealership said it would just have to continue until something triggered or became more frequent. To date this continues. Started seeing the random issue around Feb 2021

The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the oil change warning light was illuminated. The contact changed the oil however, after changing the oil, the vehicle would not shift into the intended gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 73,400.
