TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. TRANSMISSION HESITATES IN LOW GEARS GOING AROUND CORNERS AT LOW SPEEDS. ALSO, TRANSMISSION AT 75MPH CRUISE MOMENTARILY DROPPED OUT OF GEAR, ENGINE RPM WENT UP BY 500 RPM, AND THEN DROPPED BACK INTO GEAR. THESE ARE HAVE AT INFREQUENT AND RANDOM TIMES. HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALERS THAT THIS IS DRIVE BY WIRE AND THAT THERE ARE MANY ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS INVOLVED IN CONTROLLING THE TRANSMISSION. HAVE COMPLAINED TO 2 TOYOTA DEALERS. ONE TOLD ME IT WAS A SOFTWARE ISSUE AND THAT TOYOTA WAS WORKING ON A FIX. SECOND DEAL…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SURGED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL THE CONTACT APPLIED GREAT PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES AND PULLED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL UP WITH HIS FOOT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FLOOR MATS WERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000. THE VIN WAS…
