Owner report 11614511 · 2024-09-13 (September 13, 2024)

Transmission failure at 2,600 mi under low speed. The vehicle lost momentum and revved before catching gear causing an intense jerk feeling like it had been rear-ended. Immediately following the jolt multiple errors were displayed across the dash including Drive-Start Control Malfunction, PKSB System Malfunction, Hybrid System Malfunction, DRCC & PCS system malfunction screens along with orange indicators for the brake system warning, driving assist, DRCC & PCS. I was able to drive the vehicle in limp mode, as the transmission wouldn't shift u…

Owner report 11617383 · 2024-10-01 (October 1, 2024)

The vehicle hesitates on flat roads at steady speed. The hesitation is noticable especially at around 25mph. The hesitation seems to be strong with the air conditioning on, and while in drive. When the gear is manually selected and the air conditioning is off, the hesitation is less noticeable. Hesitation is particularly strong and erratic when the engine and transmission are cold and the vehicle is going up a a steady incline with a gradual acceleration.

Owner report 11716148 · 2026-02-06 (February 6, 2026)

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the driver's assist feature became inoperable, causing the vehicle to unintendedly steer into the left lane. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle detected an upcoming off-ramp and suddenly determined that the driver did not wish to take the off-ramp and self-corrected at the last moment, automatically steering the vehicle to the left across two lanes in highway traffic. The contact stated that the failu…

Owner report 11640283 · 2025-02-03 (February 3, 2025)

Brakes are squealing when in reverse. This was a known issue with 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra's. The service bulletin was number T-SB-0043-24 to change out front rotors and brake pads and mounting hardware. After that no more squeal. It was coming from the front end when backing up. The same issue is occurring on the 2024-2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's. I have attached 2 videos showing the squeal. After the vehicle has not been driven for a day or two, on a cold start and placing the vehicle in reverse, when backing out of the driveway and turning th…

Owner report 11631225 · 2024-12-17 (December 17, 2024)

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that occurred during my visit to Suburban Toyota of Farmington Hills, Michigan on [XXX], around 3 PM EST. I was there to test drive a brand new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (VIN: [XXX] ). During the test drive, I noticed the vehicle had an empty gas tank with only 7 miles of range left. I stopped at a BP gas station and discovered that my salesperson, No’ah Edwards, had sent me on the test drive without a vehicle key, using only the remote start. This meant that if the vehicle had stopped for…

Owner report 11749697 · 2026-07-11 (July 11, 2026)

Fuel line connecting to the gas tank was found completely disconnected, causing a strong gasoline odor, significant spilled gasoline and multiple warning lights including hybrid malfunction. There is an orange plastic clip that connects the flexible tube from the tank to the rigid fuel line that runs to the engine and this clip was found detatched. Dealer confirmed that the fuel rail line disconnected. Dealer suspects poor seating of connector retainer clip from factory. Review of various Land Cruiser online forums report multiple similar in…
