Exiting freeway and decelerating from 65mph speed to come to a stop, the exit veers the to left and slightly uphill. At around the speed of 35 mph the car brake began to actually give resistance and I could feel it actually start applying pressure back onto my foot as if deliberately trying to accelerate. Was unable to get brake to go push down even with applying more force than usual. Very high risk situation with stationary cars and an intersection nearing. The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the electronic braking system malfunctioned, and a message to contact the dealer was displayed. While at an intersection, the Pre-Collision System engaged, and the brakes seized with an oncoming vehicle approaching. While entering the parking lot, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 MPH, the steering wheel suddenly malfunctioned and erroneously self-turned to the left, causing the vehicle to crash into a pole, where the vehicle came to a stop. The damage was to the front of the vehicle. During the incident, no injuries were reported, and no police report was taken. The cause of the failure was not determined.
