WE PICKED UP OUR NEW RV MOTORHOME FROM OUR DEALER TWO WEEKS AGO AND PARKED IT BEHIND OUR HOUSE, A DISTANCE OF APPROX. 25 MILES. LAST WEEK WE BEGAN TO LOAD IT WITH SOME CLOTHING AND SUPPLIES SO WE COULD TAKE IT OUT ON A TEST RIDE IN A FEW WEEKS. WHILE DOING A CAREFUL CHECK OF THE RV I FOUND THAT THE POWER OUTPUT CABLE OF THE RV'S GENERATOR WAS LAYING DIRECTLY ON THE GENERATOR'S EXHAUST PIPE AND HAD MELTED OVER 3/4 THROUGH. WHEN I LIFTED THE CABLE OFF THE PIPE I COULD SEE HOW BADLY DAMAGED THE PROTECTIVE CABLE WAS AND EXPECTED THE INSULATION ON …

Drove from Gibson Louisiana to Abita Springs Ocean Canyon RV park. Upon arrival we had a buzzer alert going off under dash, we then parked to RV. Tried to put jacks down, did not respond, tried 12v lights did not work, tried slides, again no response. We then plugged in and were able to get jacks and slides out, some lights worked. Still alarm under dash, checked 12 coach battery, almost dead. Called a mobile RV tech, 2 1/2 hours later, he found a ground bolt had come off with 3 grounding wires on it. The contact owns a 2024 Thor Quantum RV. The contact stated that while parked with the engine idling, the RV started to vibrate and shake before shutting off. The contact was unable to restart the RV. The RV was later towed to the local mechanic. The local mechanic diagnosed the RV and determined that the fuel pump control module had failed due to condensation from the A/C drainage pipe leaking onto the module.
