THE FUEL PUMP MOUNTING FLANGE IS LEAKING GAS. THIS ISSUE IS AFFECTING OVER 60% OF ALL MODEL YEARS PRODUCED AND IS A MASSIVE FIRE HAZZARD. ALL ATTEMPS TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM USING OEM PARTS HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED.

CONCERNING MY 2002 SUZUKI TL1000R (CA MODEL) ON CERTAIN CALIFORNIA-SPECIFICATION MODEL MOTORCYCLES, REPEATED STRESS FROM VIBRATION CAN CAUSE A CRACK TO FORM IN THE AREA WHERE THE LIQUID/VAPOR SEPARATOR BRACKET IS WELDED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. THIS CAN ALLOW FUEL LEAKAGE TO OCCUR. CONSEQUENCE SUMMARY: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE. A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THE "S" MODEL, BUT NOT THE "R" MODEL WITH THE SAME CONDITION... *TR
