Owner report 10610601 · 2014-07-15 (July 15, 2014)

IN THE PAST 13 MONTHS I HAVE HAD TO HAVE A ENGINE REPLACEMENT IN WHICH THE VEHICLE WAS POURING CARBON MONOXIDE INTO THE CAR, I WENT TO PICK THE VEHICLE UP AFTER BEING REPAIRED FOR OVER A MONTH AT THE SUZUKI DEALERSHIP IN CHARLOTTE, NC. I DROVE THE CAR APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES AWAY WHERE THE VEHICLE CUT OFF AS I WAS MAKING A TURN INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION LEAVING ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. AFTER SEVERAL MORE WEEKS OF BEING AT THE DEALERSHIP I LEFT WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION ALONG WITH THE NEW MOTOR. 6 WEEKS LATER THE TRANSMISSION BROKE DOW…

AT HI WAY SPEED THE CVT ENTERS LIMP MODE. YOU CAN NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE DROPS IN SPEED AND YOU MUST PULL OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. WE DO DRIVE MOSTLY HI WAY AND FEEL LIKE THIS IS DANGEROUS. WE ALSO OWN A 2013 SAME MAKE AND MODEL. WE DID RECEIVE A RECALL ON IT. THE 2010 VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED ON 10/23/2010. PLEASE INVESTIGATE FOR US AS WE ARE IN FEAR OF BEING A HELPLESS SITUATION. THE DATE THAT I ENTERED WAS THE LAST EPISODE THAT WE HAD WITH VEHICLE.THE TWO PREVIOUS EPISODES ALSO HAPPENS AT THAT SAME SPEED…

Owner report 10894328 · 2016-08-09 (August 9, 2016)

WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN A LEVEL COUNTRY ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH IN LIGHT RAIN, DURING THE DAY, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER. I PULLED OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I TURNED IT BACK ON AND POWER STEERING WAS RESTORED. ABOUT 1 YEAR LATER WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT IN THE CITY DURING DRY WEATHER AT NIGHT, AT ABOUT 30MPH THE CAR AGAIN SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING, THE POWER STEERING FAILURE WARNING LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE. I AGAIN PULLED OVER, PUT…

Owner report 11567905 · 2024-01-25 (January 25, 2024)

I have received multiple recall notifications for problems with air bag on the passenger side, and a fuel tank that Suzuki says may crack. It would be great to have these things taken care of, but the repair providers that Suzuki has authorized are both 3 HOURS away! That means 6 hours total driving time, which is quite unreasonable. Does the NHTSA have any authority to either 1) get Suzuki to authorize a shop a reasonable distance from me, or, 2) have Suzuki reimburse me for recall repairs done at a local facility? I have called Suzuki my…

Owner report 11489992 · 2022-10-19 (October 19, 2022)

The vehicle goes in the limp mode while accelerating uphill. At one occasion it went into the limp mode and stalled, very unsafe for highway. Turing it off and restarting needed. The transmission has issues that hasn't been addressed by the manufacturer.
