WHILE RIDING MY 2006 SUZUKI GSXR 1000 PURCHASED IN JAN. OF THIS YEAR A DOG ENTERED THE ROAD WHILE I WAS EXITING A TURN. I BROUGHT THE BIKE TO AN UPRIGHT POSITION AND APPLIED BOTH BRAKES. THE REAR OF MY BIKE WENT UP IN THE AIR TO ABOUT THE 11 O'CLOCK POSITION. I RELEASED MY FRONT BRAKES AND THE REAR CAME BACK DOWN STILL IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION BUT WHEN MY WHEEL MADE CONTACT WITH THE ROAD MY FRAME JUST UNDER THE GAS TANK BROKE IN HALF SEPARATING, SENDING ME INTO THE WOODS ALONG THE ROAD. I WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL TRAUMA CENTER VIA EMS WHERE I…

IT APPEARS THERE ARE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ALREADY BUT THIS FIRST PART FOR THE BRAKES/STABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AREN'T CLASSIFIED AS A RECALL BUT INSTEAD THEY PUT IT AS A CUSTOMER CAMPAIGN. I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN AT AN INTERSECTION, THEN THE BACK TIRE LOCKED UP UNDER BRAKING CAUSING THE REAR OF THE BIKE TO START SLIDING OUT WHICH ULTIMATELY MADE THE BIKE HIGH SIDE IN THE CORNER. THIS CONDITION HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE A ISSUE WITH A LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE APON STARTING THE MOTORCYCLE, WHICH DISABLES THE ABS/STABILITY MANAGEMENT. I ENDED …
