TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI DR-Z400SM MOTORCYCLE. THERE IS A FUEL TAP ON THE VEHICLE, WHICH TURNS THE FUEL ON AND OFF. SOMEWHERE IN THE FUEL TAP THERE IS A VACUUM THAT RUNS THE GASOLINE DOWN TO THE CARBURETOR. AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT, THE VACUUM SHUTS DOWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO STALL AS IF IT RAN OUT OF GAS. THE STALLING OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH AND WHILE IDLING. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT HE COULD GET REAR ENDED ONCE THE VEHICLE STALLS, WHICH IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE FAILURE …

The contact owns a 2023 Suzuki DR-Z400SM. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was stalled with no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was able to restart however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,600. The VIN was not available.
