DUE TO IMPROPER SEATING, THERE COULD BE A CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE WEAR WASHER AND AXLE LUG, OR BETWEEN THE WEAR WASHER AND THE INNER RACE OF THE BEARING.
Consequence: WHEN TRUCK IS LOADED, CONTACT BETWEEN HUB NUT AND HUBEND CAP COULD CAUSE NUT TO BECOME BACKED OFF AND RESULT IN THE WHEEL BECOMINGLOOSE CAUSING FAILURE OF THE BEARING AND/OR AXLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN ANACCIDENT.
Remedy: ADJUST BEARING CLEARANCE TO PREVENT HUB NUTS FROM BACKING OFF AND WHEEL BECOMING LOOSE.
