TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 ROADMASTER RAIL EXECUTIVE/SIGNATURE (N/A). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN ENGAGED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC ON TWO OCCASIONS WHERE THE REAR BRAKE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE ON BOTH OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 02V278000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) BUT HAD NOT CONFIRMED IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED. PURCHASED VEHICLE ON 11/1/2011 AND NOTICE IMMEDIATELY THAT THE STEERING WAS SLOPPY-THOUGHT IT NEEDED FRONT END ALIGNMENT . INSTALLED NEW TIRES ALL WAY AROUND AND HAD VEHICLE LINED UP. DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE STEERING IS SO LOOSE AND SLOPPY THAT IT IS HARD TO CONTROL AND KEEP VEHICLE UNDER CONTROL. IT WEARS YOUR ARMS OUT BECAUSE YOU ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING TO MOVE STEERING WHEEL !!!!! I AM TOLD BY REPAIR SHOPS THAT THIS PROBLEM IS A DESIGN PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING BOX ON 2001 HOLIDAY RAMBLERS.
