I was sitting stoped in a parking lot and the vehicles etorque shut the engine off. When I took my foot off the brake the vehicle accelerated on its own and hit a light pole. Also airbags didn’t deploy. I was roughly 10 feet from the pole .

Incident #1: July 29 2023 Truck was purchased at 16 miles on the odometer and approximately at 160 miles the check engine light came on. The truck was coming to a stop when in sputtered, and the check engine light came on a few seconds after. The truck was drivable and was driven a few miles to my home. The truck was driven a few days later and the electrons on the truck such as the radio started to turn off, followed by a battery warning. I went to pull the truck over immediately as the engine was sputtering. I attempted a jump start of the tr…

Owner report 11536556 · 2023-08-04 (August 4, 2023)
While making a slow left turn the truck stalled without warning almost causing an accident with oncoming traffic. Once the truck stalled, I wasn't able to accelerate, and the car slowly rolled across two lanes of oncoming traffic. Once the car came to a stop the emergency brake engaged. I was able to put the car in Park and restart and disengage the emergency brake. If the other cars hadn't stopped in time this could easily been a fatal accident for me and my family.

Owner report 11568363 · 2024-01-28 (January 28, 2024)
The truck was purchased brand new and from day one I have complained of a petal hesitation. From a stop if you start very slowly you have normal acceleration. If you are rushed and step down fairly quickly nothing happens so you step down some more and you get a very abrupt jackrabbit starts and will spin the tires. It is bad on dry pavement but becomes a serious safety problem on a slick road. I also know of three 2023 ram trucks that have the same problem that I do. The dealer has not been able to diagnose or fix the problem. They replaced …

Owner report 11657133 · 2025-04-28 (April 28, 2025)
There have been multiple failures from the injector in multiple cylinders resulting in hesitation and shaking in the vehicles. My understanding is that many of the maintenance shops have had to replace this exact component in many 1500's due to its failure. I was informed that Stellantis has been informed, however refused to issue a recall or redesign the unit. Also, they are not covering it under the power trane warranty, even thought the engine won't run without a fully functioning injector. Yes this is a safety issue because of the hesita…
