I WAS DRIVING UP MY DRIVEWAY SLOWLY (LESS THAN 5 MPH), PLANNING TO MAKE A 90-DEGREE LEFT TURN INTO MY GARAGE. AS I APPROACHED THE CORNER OF THE HOUSE BUT BEFORE I REACHED THE POINT WHERE I PLANNED TO TURN, THE CAR SUDDENLY SURGED FORWARD. I WAS NOT APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR. I HIT THE BRAKES AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I APPLIED THE BRAKES EVEN HARDER BUT THE CAR KEPT GOING, HIT MY GARBAGE CANS AND RAN OVER THEM, KNOCKED THE FENCE DOWN AND FINALLY STOPPED IN MY BACK YARD.
