Loss of power due to Injectors failure on acceleration. A reproducible pattern on HWY merges or passes for example. This is an issue that has been identified and experienced by other Porsche 992/718 owners. COMPONENT THAT FAILED: A high-pressure fuel injector (cylinder 2). The failed injector and engine wiring harness are available for inspection on request. The vehicle is currently at an authorized dealer. WHAT HAPPENED: While driving at approximately 35-45 mph under light throttle in normal traffic, the engine began misfiring without warning. The misfire worsened rapidly over several seconds and the engine ran roughly enough that I pulled off the road. A strong burning smell was present immediately afterward. Both my rear break lights are showing stress cracks from movement of the frame of the body. There are other references to this happening online from other owners and it's a manufacturer defect. I brought to the dealer and was told that they should be replaced for $3000 each as they are allowing water to intrude and will cause a shorting out of the brake lights. No brake lights would be a major hazard. The cracks in both lights were not due to impacts. It is a design issue.
