Owner report 11523972 · 2023-05-26 (May 26, 2023)

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the message "Engine Failure, No Power, Service Immediately" was displayed and the vehicle stalled. Moments later, the vehicle restarted, and the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the forward distance sensor had failed which caused the vehicle to stall and the sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,20…

Owner report 11526248 · 2023-06-09 (June 9, 2023)

On May 10, 2023 my 2023 Nissan Rogue with 16,633 miles on it suffered an engine malfunction and completely stalled unexpectedly on an off-ramp of State Route 28. There were no warning lights or indicators that flashed. My car would not restart. If this would have happened minutes if not seconds sooner while I was on the highway, no vehicle behind me would have been able to stop and someone would have been seriously injured. It was later determined the engine completely seized due to metal shavings being that were found in it. The engine wa…

Owner report 11521390 · 2023-05-10 (May 10, 2023)

While attempting to accelerate up a hill the vehicle's engine rapidly increased RPM to 3500 and then down to 2000 and back up to 3500 repeatedly with no increase in speed or change of pressure on the gas pedal. Also, from a stopped position at a red light, the vehicle would shudder/shake when the tachometer reported between 1500 and 2000 RPM, while attempting to accelerate. Finally when shifting from reverse to drive, the vehicle would shake/shudder while the RPM would increase to 4000 all while the car did not accelerate at all, and with no …

The contact was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to be restarted. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that there was a voltage spike in the electrical system, resulting in the vehicle entering LIMP Mode. The vehicle was not repaired. Owner report 11496496 · 2022-12-07 (December 7, 2022)

We were in an accident that has caused injury to the driver (fiancé) and passenger (myself). The impact was on the front driver side. No airbags deployed. No emergency braking activated or collision warning appeared. The cruise control was on, that also activates all sensors. We do not have insurance information yet, but this vehicle is most likely going to total. We have yet to receive the incident report from the police.

Owner report 11515469 · 2023-04-04 (April 4, 2023)

I was driving home from work during 5pm rush hour. I was coming up on a stop light going about 30mph and was trying to slowly come to a stop but noticed that my car wasn't slowing down so I tried to brake harder by pushing on the brake pedal but the pedal resisted my foot pressure so I pressed harder on the pedal but the car took over the braking and started to beep the collision warning. I was not in control of the braking system the car would not stop. The car wasnt allowing me to brake. I heard all kinds of beeping from the car as everythin…

Owner report 11519824 · 2023-05-01 (May 1, 2023)

My 4.5 month old Rogue, with a little over 3000 miles on it, stopped dead from at 55 mph on a highway at night. The battery started but the engine would not engage or start. At the start of the drive the fuel gauge registered about 1/2 tank, but after driving only a relatively short distance, it suddenly went to just above the 'red warning zone' and showed about 157 driving miles left in the tank. I believe that the tank was actually empty and the gauge was faulty, because on a hunch the tow guy added some gas and the car started! I was in dang…

Owner report 11546454 · 2023-09-25 (September 25, 2023)

The "Engine Malfunction Power Reduced" light came on while I was driving on a highway during a traffic slow down in Houston, TX on September 9, 2023. After the light came on, I stepped on the accelerator and the vehicle was moving very slowly. I quickly turned on the emergency lights to alert other drivers on the highway and pulled slowly towards the right shoulder. I drove on the right shoulder very slowly even by stepping all the way on the accelerator and exited the driveway. I stopped at a nearly gas station and turned off the engine. …

Owner report 11502725 · 2023-01-19 (January 19, 2023)

First issue: After starting the vehicle there can be a smell of gasoline in the passenger cabin for a little bit. Also after parking vehicle in garage and turning off engine, the garage smells of gas and remains overnight, it is not exhaust fumes. Sometimes it seems to be worse after driving in reverse. There is no sign of a liquid leak on the undercarriage or on the floor. Happens whether the gas tank is full or near empty. Vehicle is only 2 months since purchase. Second issue: The rear of the vehicle jerks sideways, usually toward the passen…

Owner report 11648916 · 2025-03-18 (March 18, 2025)

There was no incident, just routine occurrences of the following that could lead to one: 1) the wipers do not clear the upper right (passenger) side of the windshield, creating a blind spot, which is especially dangerous when turning. Photo attached, though note this is a mild instance and visibility can be much worse. 2) the rearview camera has been blacking out while the car is in reverse. The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enoug…
