I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding a severe electrical failure and fire hazard inside the fuel tank of my 2015 Nissan NV200, directly related to Safety Recall PMA56 (NHTSA 25V676000). 1. On September 9, 2021, my 2016 NV 200 suddenly and unexpectedly broke down in Gila Bend AZ on a trip from the Bay Area to Austin to visit my grandchild. After refueling and pulling back onto the road towards the Interstate 8 on-ramp, the vehicle suddenly died. It was extremely difficult to steer it towards the side of the road and the ignition was inoperable. 2. On 9/25/25 I was driving through a green light in Baltimore MD. The streets were grand view and w cold spring lane . A driver ran the red light from my left side and hit me so hard he totaled my 2014 NV200 cab edition. 2015 NISSAN NV200 SV 78,000 MILES. DRIVER HAD MOVED VEHICLE INTO GARAGE, PARKED VEHICLE WITH A SLIGHT ANGLE TO THE STEERING. DRIVER COULD NOT REMEMBER IF VEHICLE WAS RUNNING OR KEY IN IGNITION IN 'ON' POSITION. The vehicle safety switch is bad and Nissan dealers will not sell the part unless you buy the entire transmission. I bought this transmission in Nov 2020 from Nissan Dealer and the part is malfunction allowing it to start in all gears. The warranty on the transmission is 12,000 miles or 12 months. At this point, I am forced to drive this vehicle which can make it hazardous. Nissan is insistent that will not sell the part unless I buy a whole new transmission. How can that be?

My vehicle received a Nissan recall repair for a fuel pump/fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness defect that can short-circuit and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing a stall. About three weeks and 350 miles after that repair, the engine stalled unexpectedly while driving on a public road, creating a crash risk.
