A LEAK OF EITHER GASOLINE OR PROPANE CAN OCCUR IN COMPONENTS OF THE DUAL FUEL SYSTEM. THIS CONDITION IS PRIMARILY THE RESULT OF THE CONFIGURATION AND LOCATION OF COMPONENTS IN AREAS WHERE HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE BEING GENERATED BY THE ENGINE AND EXHAUST SYSTEMS.
Consequence: FUEL LEAKS CAN RESULT IN FIRES WHEN EXPOSED TO A SOURCEOF IGNITION.
Remedy: REMOVE THE DUAL FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS, SEAL THE PROPANE TANK LIQUID WITHDRAWAL VALVE, AND RESTORE A VIABLE GASOLINE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM.
