The contact owns a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 MPH and pulling into the neighborhood through the slow-access gate, while the vehicle was approximately one foot from the gate, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The vehicle crashed into the gate, causing the iron rails to detach. The contact was standing on the brake pedal with excessive force while attempting to steer the vehicle.
