When the object proximity sensors in the front or rear bumpers detect an object, the vehicle completely or severely limits the throttle. For instance, the rear bumper sensors detect the bike rack attached to my van and therefore limit the throttle response, regardless of transmission direction (forward or reverse). This seems to happen intermittently. When I mute the bumper sensor’s warning by tapping a button, then the throttle responds as expected. The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. After the purchase of the vehicle, the contact was informed that he was unable to take possession of the vehicle because of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V055000 (Electrical System) and that the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was notified of the recall and initially informed him that the recall update would be available in mid-June however, the contact was recently informed that the update was still unavailable and there was no estimated date for the availabil…
