ONE CANNOT DISABLE CRUISE CONTROL IF ENGAGED IN THE EVENT BRAKE SWITCH FAILS AS THEY ARE ON THE SAME CIRCUIT. THIS HAPPENED LAST MONTH WHILE I WAS DRIVING FROM HOUSTON TO SAN ANTONIO. THE CRUISE SPEED WAS SET AT AROUND 70MPH AND WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE ON I-10W. AS THERE WAS TRAFFIC WITH A TRUCK TO MY RIGHT AND A CAR IN FRONT OF ME GOING AT LESS THAN 65 MPH. I TAPPED ON THE BRAKES TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL AND IT WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. I WAS FRIGHTENED AS I COULD NOT SLOW DOWN THE CAR AND FINALLY I MOVED THE CRUISE LEVER AND IT DISENGAG…
