THERE IS A FUEL SMELL COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR. I REMOVE THE REAR SEAT AND VERIFIED THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IS LEAKING. THERE WAS PUDDLE OF GAS AROUND THE SENDING UNIT. Owner report 11462383 · 2022-04-27 (April 27, 2022)
Have strong odor of fuel in cabin and outside driver's side rear of vehicle that has been increasing in intensity over the past couple of months. I removed the rear seat bench and the access cover for the fuel pump under the driver's side rear seat and found pooled fuel on top of the pump as well as a lot of dirt and grime showing that it had been a problem for some period of time. I dried up the fuel but the problem continues, and continues whether or not the tank is full or less than 1/2 full.

Owner report 11593191 · 2024-06-08 (June 8, 2024)
Brake pedal went to floor and brake function became significantly impaired and dangerous. Took car to local shop who diagnosed as failed rear brake lines, and most of the entire length of the rear lines were in very bad condition. Car only has 104k on it. It doesn't take much searching on the internet to see how widespread of a problem this is, and even the dealer admits they do multiple of these per week on the W212 (and a few other platforms are affected). The front lines seem to be in good shape so there does seem to be a design issue he…
