Owner report 11459159 · 2022-03-31 (March 31, 2022)

My steering deactivates and totally locks out while driving. I do get warning messages and it comes on when the steering deactivates and then goes out its like intermittent sometimes I wont have steering at all for a few minutes and sometimes it just goes in and out. MBUSA has an active recall on this very issue but my car even though it was built in the time frame they say other cars have been built they are not willing to fix it. It has been inspected twice and the dealer has verified the steering rack needs replacement, they still wont fix t…

Owner report 11449490 · 2022-01-30 (January 30, 2022)

The adjustment up and down of the vehicle's steering column regularly sticks in the full "up" position and then cannot be easily re-adjusted. I have taken the vehicle in three times for servicing of this problem and the dealer solution was to only re-lubricate bearings and gears. Finally after problem has become more acute has the Mercedes dealer agreed to replace steering column in total.

Owner report 11439676 · 2021-11-08 (November 8, 2021)

When this occurs the engine has to be re-started with the ignition switch to be able to drive the car again. Car does not show any check engine error and Mercedes Benz service claims that they cannot replicate the issue. During the course of driving the car for the past 12000 miles I have observed this issue between 6-8 times. In at least 3 occasions this occurred while driving on the freeway and the …

Owner report 11288650 · 2019-12-12 (December 12, 2019)

AUTOMATIC DRIVE SHUTS OFF WHEN YOU BRAKE. HOWEVER, IN A ROLLING STOP AND BRAKE, IT DOES NOT RESTART IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS WHEN YOU ACCELERATE OUT OF THE STOP. IT IS INCONSISTENT, BUT SERVICE TEAM AT LOCAL DEALER HAVE RECREATED THE SITUATION. THE CAR IS DESIGNED TO AUTO RESTART AND THE FUNCTION CANNOT BE DISABLED.
