TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA CX9. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED TO NEUTRAL ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT SWITCHED TO MANUAL TRANSMISSION, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER. WHEN THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN TO APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, IT RE-ENGAGED IN GEAR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA CX9. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BALL JOINT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED 360 DEGREES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE BALL JOINT SYSTEM NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
