A brand new 40,000 lb rated commercial trailer was picked up at the MAXEY Trailer Mfg in Brookstone, TX on June June 18th, 2021 on the 300 mile trip home the trailer “sheared” off the brake lines leaving the empty trailer with no brakes. Upon inspection of the trailer it was found the axles and frame had “sheared” off the brake line. Major design flaw, when manufacturer was contacted we were told by the R&D Dept. to “reroute” the brake lines and it would be “fine”. We have the emails in hand from them.
