I WAS STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT STOPPING NORMALLY. I REALIZED THAT PART OF MY SHOE WAS STILL ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHEN I INTENDED IT TO BE ONLY ON THE BRAKE. THIS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL ARE EXACTLY IN LINE WITH EACH OTHER AND VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. EVERY OTHER CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVEN HAD AN OFFSET BETWEEN THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I CONTACTED MASERATI BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT EVERY GRA…

HI I HAVE A 2013 GRANDTURISMO WITH 10700MILES ON IT AND WAS INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT EARLIER TODAY WHERE THE GAS PEDAL WAS STUCK AND CAR KEPT ACCELERATING DESPITE TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO HIT THE BRAKES BUT ENDED UP GETTING IN AN ACCIDENT. I GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM AND CAME ACROSS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS PROBLEM AND NOTICED SOME RECALLS REGARDING SOME MASERATI MODELS. REGARDS

CAR LOSES MOST OF IT'S POWER UNEXPECTEDLY. CAR STOPS ACCELERATING AND DASHBOARD ERROR LIGHTS DISPLAYED ARE "CHECK ENGINE", "ASR FAILURE GO TO DEALER", "CHECK SUSPENSION", "MSP FAILURE GO TO DEALER". CAR HAS BROKEN DOWN 4 TIMES WITH A LOSS OF POWER AND STATED ERROR WARNINGS, AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP ALL 4 TIMES. CAR PURCHASED IN JANUARY 2010. 2 SEPARATE INCIDENTS, FIRST OCCURRING ON JULY 12, UPON ENTERING CAR, AFTER DRIVING VEHICLE DURING DAY, IT LOCKED UP, WOULD NOT ALLOW KEY TO BE EXTRACTED, WOULD NOT START, VARIOUS LIGHTS ON DASH INDICATING MAJOR PROBLEMS. ENGINE LIGHT, CAR THEFT LIGHT. PROBLEM RESOLVED AFTER RESETTING KEY WITH LOCK/UNLOCK. TAKEN TO DEALER, TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG.
