VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: DODGE FULL SIZE CONVERSION VANS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE TIRE SIZE INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 120, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS."
Consequence: IF INCORRECT TIRE INFORMATION IS GIVEN, UNDERRATED TIRES COULD BE PLACED ON THE TRUCK CAUSING EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR OR, IN EXTREME CASES, POSSIBLE TIRE BLOWOUTS.
Remedy: MARK III HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. OWNERS WERE TO BE PROVIDED WITH AN OVERLAY CERTIFICATION LABEL WITH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
