I was experiencing low voltage inside the School bus , erratic lighting and 2 way radio was cycling on and off due to LOW VOLTAGE. I noticed the smell of smoke inside the school bus, upon further investigation, I opened the hood and noticed smoke rising from the positive electrical "pass Through" 12-volt connector on the driver side. apparently, the connector insulator failed and was shorting to the body and was getting extremely hot and could cause a fire. the connector on the inside of the bus, under the dash, was blackened from the heat. i …
