WHILE DRIVING AT 5MPH, THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS ACCIDENTALLY PUSHED IN. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF, THE VEHICLE ROLLED FOR A SECOND AND THEN THE CAR CAME TO A HALT AS IF I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES. THE IGNITION BUTTON IS LOCATED NEXT TO THE COMPUTER SCREEN AND THE PASSENGER HAD ACCIDENTALLY PUSHED IT IN WHEN HE WAS CHANGING THE RADIO STATION ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN. *TR

ON APRIL 14, 2017, AT 9:10 P.M., ON MY WAY HOME, I PULLED UP TO OUR TOWNHOME MAIL BOX CENTER, PUT MY CAR IN PARK, UNHOOKED MY SEAT BELT AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR IN ORDER TO GET MY MAIL. I LEFT MY CAR DOOR OPEN AS I WAS ONLY GOING TO GET THE MAIL AND GET BACK IN, AS I HAVE DONE THOUSANDS OF TIMES. RIGHT AFTER I GOT OUT OF THE CAR, I REALIZED THE CAR WAS ROLLING BACK. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2XS WITHIN THE LAST 4 WEEKS. CAR ONLY HAS 49,000 MILES. CAR STARTS TO SHAKE WHEN DRIVING SPEED OF 50 MILESHR APPOX. THEN CAR SHUTS OFF, NO BRAKES, AND CANNOT STEERING. DRIFTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TRIED TO START..IT DID START UP AGAIN AFTR 5 MINUTES. HAD IT INTO 2 DEALERS(LINCOLN) AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM, NO COMPUTER ERRORS ABOUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. My car shakes and hesitates at times, especially when going uphill or when it is attempting to shift gears. This has put me and my passengers at risk as my car will not pick up, and other vehicles behind me have been forced to brake suddenly or swerve as my car has become an obstacle in front of them. I've been told that it's the transmission. I've also been told that this is a VERY common problem with 2015 Lincoln MKCs and that Lincoln knows about it but REFUSES to issue a recall. The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that an independent mechanic had replaced the battery and the alternator twice due to battery drainage failure; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle required to be jumpstarted regularly.
