I LEASED THE 2019 LEXUS UX 200 FOR MY DAUGHTER IN NOVEMBER 2019. MY DAUGHTER WAS PARKING THIS CAR IN OUR GARAGE IN FEB 2020. AS PER THE ADVERTISED LEXUS PRE-COLLISION FEATURE FOR THIS MODEL, THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO COME TO AN AUTOMATIC STOP WHEN IT DETECTS AN OBJECT IN FRONT OF IT. THE CAR DID NOT DETECT THE REFRIGERATOR IN FRONT OF IT AND CRASHED INTO IT. SINCE THAT DAY, MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN AFRAID OF DRIVING. The contact owns a 2019 Lexus UX200. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the battery was drained. The contact stated that after jump starting the vehicle, while driving, the battery was not recharging. The needed another jump start after being turned off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and no cause for the battery or electrical failure was determined.
