TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 LEXUS UX250 HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON EXITING A CAR WASH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE UPON DEPRESSION WITHOUT WARNING. 2020 LEXUS UX 250h. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE FAILING TO START. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IT HAS FAILED TO START ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS DUE TO DEAD BATTERY, BEGINNING A MONTH AFTER PURCHASE. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE BE REPAIRED OR REPURCHASED BY THE DEALERSHIP.

This is a new vehicle. It had been serviced according to the manufacturer’s recommendations at 5000 miles, around 3 weeks prior to the date of this incident. While driving on the freeway, I got an alert that the check engine light came on and there was a “malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has been detected”.
