TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 LEXUS NX300H. WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED WITHOUT THE DRIVER APPLYING THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE STARTED SPINNING AND, WHEN IT STOPPED, WAS STRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. I WAS PARK AT STOP SIGN ON A CITY STREET WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES NEXT THING I KNEW I WAS HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE MY BRAKES UNINTENDED ACCELERATED AND MY BRAKES FAILED. I COULD NOT STOP THIS CAR FOR 2 BLOCKS, I TRIED TO PLACE IT IN PARK, AND ALSO TURN THE CAR OFF, THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I KEPT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES BUT IT JUST ACCELERATED. I REPORTED IT TO LEXUS AND ACCORDING TO LEXUS AN INDEPENDENT ANALYSIS WOULD COME OUT AND INSPECT MY VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 LEXUS NX300H. WITHIN WEEKS OF THE CONTACT OWNING THE VEHICLE, IT STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER (LEXUS OF SERRAMONTE, 700 SERRAMONTE BLVD, COLMA, CA 94014, [phone removed]) WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE.
