TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 LEXUS LS460. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AS THE IGNITION WAS STARTED, THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND AS A RESULT, HE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

WAITING IN LINE AT COSTCO TO GET FUEL. PULLED APPROX 2 TO 3 FEET FROM VEHICLE IN FRONT. I ENGAGED THE AUTO PARKING BRAKE WHILE WAITING. NEXT THING THE BRAKE DIS-ENGAGED AND CAR LUNGED FORWARD HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF THAT VEHICLE BEFORE I HAD TIME TO HIT THE BRAKE. DAMAGE TO LEXUS IS $7000 NO ESTIMATES ON DAMAGE TO OTHER CARS. OTHER DRIVERS REPORTED AND GETTING MEDICAL ATTENTION.

2010 LEXUS LS460 AWD, AFTER MAKING A U TURN STEERING WENT NON RESPONSIVE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. CALLED LEXUS USA AND THEY HAVE NO FIRM DATE FOR RECALL PARTS AVAILABILITY. PROBLEM IS WORSE THAN REPORTED. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 LEXUS LS460. WHILE TURNING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE CONTACT HAD TO USE FORCE TO MANUALLY RETURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE FORWARD POSITION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FINE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 LEXUS LS460. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS AN OVERPOWERING FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND THE FUEL FILLER AREA. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED A FUEL LEAK NEAR THE FILLER NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE WHERE THE CHARCOAL CANISTER, FUEL FILLER NECK AND A PIPE SUB WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE FUEL FILLER NECK BEGAN LEAKING AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS SENT A LETTER IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE BUT HAD NOT RESPONDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTH…
