TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 LEXUS GX460. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY. WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 65 MPH, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY AND BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A SUDDEN STOP. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON ONE OCCASION THE CONTACT AVOIDED A NEAR COLLISION WITH A SEMI TRUCK. I WAS DRIVING AROUND 40 MPH AND WAS HIT IN THE SIDE BY A DRIVER WHO RAN A STOP SIGN AT A SCREECHING HALT AND HIT MY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND REAR. I FLIPPED 2.5 TIMES AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE REAR WINDOWS MY CHILD. THE CAR KEPT ME SAFE AS FAR AS AIRBAGS AND SEATBELT. WE HAD SOME INJURIES BUT NO BROKEN BONES.
